Holiday Gifts For Kittens

Season’s Greetings! Are you spending the holidays with a new kitten in your household? If so, you are definitely going to experience some adorable moments with little Fluffy as she celebrates her first holiday season. Don’t forget to pick up some gifts for your little furball! A Bee Cave TX vet suggests some holiday gifts for kittens below.

Toys

Toys are definitely at the top of this list! Different types of toys serve different purr-poses. You can offer your pet classic toys, like crinkly toys, catnip mice, and plastic balls. Little Fluffy may also enjoy something more high-tech, like a robotic mouse that reacts to her movements. Or, you can get that little motor going with a mechanical swimming fish. Wand toys are also great fun for kittens. Just be sure to put your furball’s wand toy away after each use. (Tip: remember to snap some adorable photos of your feline friend using her new playthings!)

Beds

We probably don’t have to tell you that our feline pals are quite drowsy. Baby cats are extra sleepy, in part because their growth hormones are released during sleep cycles. Get your little buddy some comfy beds to curl up in.

Kitty Activity Center

Kittens are super frisky, and love to climb and explore things. Little Fluffy will be purrfectly thrilled with a fun play center that incorporates lots of hiding spots, beds, and ramps or ladders. Don’t get a really small one, though, as your kitten will outgrow it quickly.

Pet Tents

Cats tend to feel safe and secure in small spaces. Little Fluffy may really enjoy some pet tents or tunnels to retreat to when she wants to hide or just wants to take yet another nap.

Boxes

We may never entirely understand Fluffy’s box obsession, but we do know that it’s adorable. Give your tiny ball of fur some empty boxes and gift bags to play in once everyone has opened their presents.

Treats

Although you don’t want to go overboard with fatty treats, there’s nothing wrong with giving your pint-sized pal a special holiday snack. Store-bought products are fine, but you can also give little Fluffy a can of plain tuna or chicken in water, some sodium-free broth, or shredded deli meat.
