Fido’s Cutest New Year’s Resolutions

Happy New Year! Are you setting goals for the new year? If so, your dog will cheer you on with tail wags and doggy kisses as you strive to meet your new goals. In fact, your canine buddy may have a few items of his own on his to-do list for 2018. Here, a Bee Cave, TX vet lists some of Fido’s resolutions for 2018.

Get More Snacks

If Fido had one life goal, it may very well be to eat as much bacon as possible. Treats are fine—and even beneficial—for dogs. Feel free to help your pooch make this goal by offering him a yummy treat every day. Just don’t go overboard with fatty snacks.

Explore New Lawns

Dogs are both curious and intelligent, and love exploring new places. Give your pet a change of scenery this year! Take Fido down a different walking route this year, or bring him to a doggy park.

Score Lots of Belly Rubs

Does Fido close his eyes in bliss when you scratch his back or rub his belly? Pay lots of attention to your furry buddy in 2018, and indulge his adorable requests for attention.

Did you know that dogs spend about half their time sleeping? All those tail wags can really tire Fido out! Make sure your canine pal has a good doggy bed to curl up in.

Get My Bed Back From The Cat

Speaking of beds … Fido may have another bed-related item on his list of resolutions. Fluffy does have a habit of stealing Fido’s bed and forcing her canine roommate to sleep on the floor. If that’s the case in your household, your pup may attempt to reclaim his doggy bed this year!

Dogs are absolutely adorable when they are feeling frisky. Playing isn’t just fun for dogs: it’s also great for them. Take time to play with your pup every day. This will benefit Fido both physically and mentally, and will be fun for you, too!

Spend Time With Family

At the end of the day, Fido wants nothing more than to spend time with his best buddy: you! Spend lots of quality time with your furry best friend in 2018.
